TBR (Thornton Burns Recruitment Ltd) was established in 1998. Today it is equally owned and run by Paul Bartlett and John Mitchell, both founding Directors, who have been friends since they met when they were 7 over 30 years ago. TBR is proud of the quality of its Recruitment Personnel and the level of service we are able to offer as a result of their experience and in-depth industry knowledge. Our team specialise both geographically and by sector allowing us to successfully meet the recruitment demands of both those looking for work and those seeking to employ. We enjoy excellent long term repeat relationships across the industry from independent employers through to multinational plcs and as a result of our approach frequently recruit at very senior level.

As previously mentioned the TBR website is now in its sixth development span which our inhouse developer has named TBR3.0. The reason for this constant development of TBR3.0 is to be as up to date with current programming technologies as possible. How it works
1. Searching
We have spent many hours developing the most stringant search algorithms to enable faster lightweight more relevant results for candidates looking for vacancies on our website. Our searches include predefined lists of areas, sectors and industries with or without a postcode radius based search (just fill in your postcode and select a radius to search around it .. simple), keyword search or if you know the reference number of your vacancy you may input that too.
2. Vacancy Application
With simple and effective postcode lookup and an auto fill feature applying for vacancies has never been easier at TBR, simply choose the vacancy you would like to apply for, input your name and postcode and our database will do the rest. Also included is a security measure to ensure we do not deal with hackers or spammers thus enabling us to focus all of our attention on you the candidate.
3. Latest Job Feeds
Our latest job feeds on our home page are a real time feed list, using the latest web technologies the section of the page in which the vacancies are presented is automatically updated every ten seconds - giving you the best possible chance to find the job that's right for you. Applying for one of the jobs couldn't be easier, simply hover over the vacancy you would like to see more about and a tidy information tooltip is created for you with a few more details. If you feel you would like to see the full details including the Consultant contact details (to maybe discuss the position in person) then you can simply click on the vacancy to take you through to the information and application page.
