Successful multidisciplinary consultancy employing over 9000 people in over 90 offices across the world currently seeks a Senior Rail Engineer to be based in their West Midlands office. The successful candidate will be responsible for checking & producing railway designs & calculations for track renewals & amendments. The role will involve concept & feasibility design work for various sized projects, carrying out technical studies & composing reports, and managing a team & their workload, mentoring & training junior staff where needed. You will liaise with all teams involved in the projects to ensure that client`s requirements are met & exceeded. Applicants must hold BEng/ MEng Civil Engineering or similar along with membership of ICE and ideally be a Chartered Engineer. Experience of the various stages of rail infrastructure schemes gained working for a major consultant or contractor and the production & checking of feasibility studies, designs & calculations of Rail projects is required along with knowledge of drainage, route alignment and signaling output. It is required that candidates are expert in using design software packages including MicroStation, ClearRoute, InRail etc and that they have a keen interest in all aspects of Civil Engineering & Rail works.
