Our client, a well established worldwide multidisciplinary consultancy, currently seeks a Principal Transport Planner to join their Traffic & Transportation team in Basingstoke. Suitable candidates will hold a good first degree i.e. Maths, Geography or Engineering, with a post graduate qualification relating to Traffic & Transport Engineering. You will also have substantial experience of carrying out feasibility studies, Transport and junction assessments, economic & financial appraisals and transport master planning and be proficient in using various transport related software i.e. SATURN, VISUM, ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG. Main duties within this role include providing wide-ranging traffic/ transportation expertise to multidisciplinary projects, to develop & win new business with new & existing clients, to manage & develop the traffic & transportation team, mentoring & training new & junior staff. You will also manage & deliver all requirements of projects ensuring that they meet with clients` requirements & relevant legislation.
