Job Description

Our client is a leading firm of consulting engineers specialising in blast and ballistic effects on building and civil engineering structures both in the UK and overseas. They are involved in the civil works aspects of the petrochemical field as well as a range of military engineering projects. Their portfolio includes the blast and ballistic designs of many building components, buildings and other structures, together with a large number of designs for commercial blast resistant glazing and curtain walling. Projects also include the design of explosives test and training structures, and structures for the storage and processing of various types of ammunition. Our client is now looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join the Suffolk based team. Applicants must hold a Masters of Engineering degree (MEng) in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering with a classification of 2:1 or above. The preferred candidate will have experience working in the commercial structural engineering field, designing tall/large buildings such as high-rise office blocks. Alternatively, candidates with bridge design experience would also be of interest. Our client is seeking an engineer with a proven ability to design in both concrete and steel.
