Leading firm of multidisciplinary consulting engineers currently seek to appoint a Senior/ Principal Bridge Engineer to their Birmingham office. With a large number of offices across the UK, our client has built up a diverse portfolio of projects across a broad range of market sectors. They have over 80 years experience within the construction sector offering its clients a range of services relating to Traffic, Transportation, Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering.
The company`s Bridge Engineering teams have extensive experience in the inspection and assessment, strengthening, refurbishment and detailed design of bridges comprising many different structural forms and materials. They have an impressive UK client portfolio, including major frameworks with the Highways Agency and Network Rail as well as collaborating with major developers and contractors, both nationally and internationally.
Candidates interested in applying for this role must be degree qualified in a relevant subject and should also be Chartered. The preferred candidate will have a significant level of experience gained with other UK based consultancies including a proven background in bridge engineering and ideally some previous team leadership experience. The successful engineer will assist the Technical Director with the management of rail, infrastructure, highways and development projects. Additional duties will include providing innovative bridge design solutions in complex and challenging environments for key clients, as well as playing a pivotal role in leading and mentoring a team of dedicated civil and structural engineers.
