Job Description
Our clients are a medium-sized multidisciplinary consultancy operating from 7 offices across the UK providing Civil & Structural, Mechanical & Electrical and GeoEnvironmental services to clients in a broad range of market sectors. They are now looking to strengthen their North West GeoEnvironmental Division by the appointment of a Hydrologist or Civil Engineer to assist in the preparation and delivery of flood risk assessments for a wide range of developments. All applicants must hold a first degree in a relevant subject such as Geography or Environmental Science as well as a Masters degree in Hydrology or a similar subject. Our client is seeking a talented, self motivated individual preferably with a minimum of five years experience, gained primarily with another UK based consultancy. Additional requirements include a full valid driving licence and the flexibility to work away from the Manchester office if necessary. The successful candidate will work as part of a team on a variety of hydrology, hydroecology and multi-disciplinary projects for developers, local authorities and industrial clients. The role will involve leading small site investigations, consultation, liaison and negotiation with regulators and computer modelling.
