Leading international environmental company providing environmental, risk and health & safety, consultancy services currently seeks to recruit an accomplished Environmental Consultant to be based at their Bucharest office. We are looking for a knowledgeable Consultant holding a good degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or related sciences with a minimum of three years postgraduate experience. Candidates must be computer literate, knowledge in EDDA, EIA, IPPC or compliance practice areas and fully familiar with Romanian legal requirements. The role also requires excellent oral and written language skills in both Romanian and English; excellent report-writing ability and good interpersonal, safety and team orientation skills. Applicants must be willing to travel. The chosen interviewee`s responsibilities will include project management of small and medium sized projects; conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESAs) and EH&S Compliance Audits; providing support in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and permitting processes; cost estimating and proposal writing; and setting up business procedures using European and American Standards.
