Job Description
Award winning M&E Contractors seek to appoint an experienced M&E Building Services Quantity Surveyor to work on projects mainly in the north of England. Reporting to the Commercial Director, duties will include: negotiating & establishing contractual arrangements with subcontractors; compilation & submission of valuations; pricing & submission of variations to the client financial team; maintenance of updated final count forecast; financial control & payment to subcontractors including maintaining proper control & substantiation of variations; raising subcontract certificates; authorising release of payments against certificates; preparation & agreement of final account with clients; agreement & resolution of final account with subcontractors; claims for loss & expense reimbursement; progressing retention monies & outstanding cash; assisting in the training & development of trainee/ junior surveyors; ensuring compliance with company standards & procedures. Successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a track record in a similar position with established Building Services Contractors and be looking for a role offering the chance to work on high value, prestigious contracts & to further progress their career.
