Electrical Commissioning Engineer - URGENT 6 Months - Qatar -
£50K - £65K (depending on experience)
Job Description
Our client is a long established London based full service contractor primarily serving the hydrocarbon market with a strong worldwide reputation for technology-based engineering, procurement and construction services within the process plant industries.
They urgently seek an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work on a project in Qatar initially for 6 months to interface with construction activities and accept electrical systems into service completing pre and post energisation checks, developing test schedules and QC records. To supervise with vendors the testing and tuning of generation equipment, load shedding and network control systems and feeds to single consumers. Conduct initial drive runs.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Sound knowledge of electrical commissioning and start up with several electrical commissioning experience on process or power plants
HND or equivalent minimum qualifications
Candidate must:
1) be familiar with designing energisation programmes for electrical networks and substations and be familiar with pre and post energisation protocols and standards
2) be competent to start up and load electrical generation equipment.
3) be competent at trouble shooting and compilation of Quality Control records and managing test team.
4) have sound knowledge of working at 132 kV and electrical Permit To Work standards
5) be a Senior Authorised Electrical Person and be familiar with Shell Systems
6) be capable of writing Test Protocols and setting the standards therein
7) be capable of hitting the ground running
