Working within the Services Division of our clients City of London base the candidate will be involved in all aspects of the management of Software releases. The technical environment is OpenVMS, UNIX, Linux and Windows 2K/XP/2003. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will work in the Software Management team and be expected to perform the following duties: * Verification of the completeness of requests * Liaison with Product Managers and their staff regarding Turnover requests. * Packaging and transmission of turnover requests to VMS, Unix and Win 2K/2003 platforms * Administration of delivery details * Capture metrics relating to deliveries * Creation of Gui installation kits * Provide technical support for delivery problems * Reconciliation of deliveries for clients * Assist with the collection and packaging of releases and deltas * Process improvement initiatives for the Product Development Lifecycle Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will work in the Software Management team and be expected to perform the following duties: * Verification of the completeness of requests * Liaison with Product Managers and their staff regarding Turnover requests. * Packaging and transmission of turnover requests to VMS, Unix and Win 2K/2003 platforms * Administration of delivery details * Capture metrics relating to deliveries * Creation of Gui installation kits * Provide technical support for delivery problems * Reconciliation of deliveries for clients * Assist with the collection and packaging of releases and deltas * Process improvement initiatives for the Product Development Lifecycle Required Skills and Experience Our client would ideally like to recruit a graduate but consideration will be given to bright candidates with relevant job experience that should include 4 of the following: * Delivery of software * Development of software in any language * Unix or VMS skills * PC literate * Administration skills * Building of Gui installation kits * Understanding of software engineering principles * Ability to learn quickly * Ability to work under pressure This post requires working a rotating shift pattern from 09:00 to 17:30, 13:30 to 22:00 the next week.
