Excellent opportunity to join a high profile corporate company based in Portsmouth. The company is a prime contractor for the new aircraft carrier CVF project and has many other marine vessel projects. This role sits with in our clients Software Applications team that are concerned with new software projects, MIS reporting and 3rd line application support. The main applications are ERP and Finance based. Some exposure to Oracle databases and PL/SQL is key. Any knowledge of Crystal Reports is an advantage but not essential. It is likely that you would also have skills in C sharp, .net, SQL Server, PHP or MySQL. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be involved in the full lifecycle from requirements capture through to some user support. The company are looking to develop the successful candidate by providing training and real world experience into a fully fledged Software Developer.
